DiGiuseppe and Tafrate provide an outstanding work that can serve as either a text or clinical reference on anger. It is a comprehensive treatment of all aspects this affect from petulance to rage, and, importantly, they define guidelines for determining the point in this dimension in which pathology begins.
They cogently make the case that anger disorders represent a distinct and treatable class of psychological pathology and they provide excellent guidelines for psychotherapeutic interventions. They accomplish this with both a comprehensive analysis of the clinical and experimental literature combined with an insightful synthesis of these sources. A highly recommended book for academics and clinicians.
