Microwave Processing Schedules for Biopsies
Used by Denise Hardy, ARUP Laboratories, Salt Lake City, UT.
- Pre-fix < 2 mm specimens in fixative, room temperature, 1 hour.
- Microwave in reagent alcohol, 67°C, 5 minutes.
- Microwave in 100% isopropyl alcohol, 74°C, 5 minutes.
- Microwave in paraffin, 80°C, 5 minutes (use preheated to 75°C).
